By looking at Invisalign before and after pictures, you can see the difference that Invisalign has made in some people. Some before and after pictures may show more drastic results than others. Someone with the most crooked teeth may have perfectly straight teeth in their after picture, which would give just about anyone the confidence to try Invisalign.

Many people who are considering Invisalign are wondering if they could somehow get free Invisalign.
Is it true…is there such a thing as free Invisalign? Well, as you probably thought, it is highly unlikely. Invisalign can be pricey so for it to be completely free will most likely not happen. Even with insurance, it is unlikely that your coverage would cover Invisalign. [See our entry about insurance and invisalign.]

However, don’t be discouraged!

Even though you may not find a dentist offering free Invisalign anytime soon, most dentists will at least offer a free Invisalign consultation so that you can see if Invisalign is really the right choice for you or not. Additionally, some dentists may offer better prices than others, so shop around. See our entry about Invisalign prices to get a general ballpark figure for what Invisalign might cost you.

Read on to see various Invisalign reviews!

Invisalign Review #1: “I have mixed views on Invisalign. While I have seen it work wonders for some, I have seen it cause nothing but disappointment for others. Unfortunately, this is the case with me, but I blame it on my doctor. I say, go for it, but make sure you select a good dentist.”

Invisalign Review #2: “In only two years, I went from having the worst teeth you could possibly imagine to having straight, beautiful teeth. I loved Invisalign and will recommend it to anyone!”

Invisalign Review #3: “I hated it, and was not very ‘invisible’ to me.”

Invisalign Review #4: “It was painful for me, so I stopped using it, but maybe it would have been worth it if I kept at it.

Invisalign Review #5: “I used to have braces and then my teeth got crooked again because I didn’t follow up with use of my retainer. Now my teeth are straight again after using Invisalign and the experience was SO much better than conventional braces. Thanks, Invisalign!”

So there you have it. A mix of Invisalign reviews - both good and bad. More will come in future posts. I have to say, though, based on all the people I talked to about Invisalign, it seems like the majority of reviews were positive.

Many people that are considering Invisalign are concerned about one important thing: price. Invisalign prices can be quite expensive, but what is considered expensive? Exact Invisalign prices can only be quoted to you exactly by a dentist, but we have some figures that may give you a general ballpark figure.

One thing to consider when it comes to Invisalign prices is the area you live in. Big cities like Los Angeles, New York and Miami may be a little more expensive than other cities in the United States. Other factors when it comes to Invisalign prices is your exact case (how crooked your teeth are, if you have an overbite, how long you need to wear them, whether you want them for both top and bottom teeth, etc.) Finally, some dentists are little more pricy than others.

Some exact Invisalign prices:

$6,700

$3,600

$4,000

$5,000

$3,950

Aetna is a popular insurance company that also includes dental insurance. Many people that have aetna insurance and wish for straight teeth often wonder about Aetna and Invisalign, as opposed to traditional braces. There are many questions to consider with Aetna and Invisalign - such as, will Aetna cover the cost of Invisalign? Will Aetna at least cover part of the cost of Invisalign? If not, am I better off getting traditional braces?

Local Invisalign Dentists can advise you more on Aetna and Invisalign.

Although it can be considered cosmetic dentistry when compared to regular braces, insurance companies usually discriminate against Invisalign. Many times, they will cover a percentage of the total cost of orthodontic treatment up to a certain value, regardless of the type of treatment is being used.

Aetna considers Invisalign® and any similar orthodontic system that uses aligners as “comprehensive orthodontic treatment”. When it comes to Aetna and Invisalign, each insurance plan defines which services are excluded, covered, and which are subject to other limits such as dollar caps. Members and their orthodontists will need to consult the member’s benefits plan to determine if there are any exclusions or other benefits limitations applicable to Invisalign.

This could also vary by state. So if you are interested in Invisalign and you are with Aetna dental insurance, be sure to check with your dentist.

Invisible braces have become very popular in the United States, except among early teens, which is a huge percentage of the market for braces. Originally you could not get Invisalign unless you were at least 16 but now Invisalign Teen can treat teens as young as 13 years old with some new added benefits.

Teens are smiling about Invisalign Teen because:

It is hard for people to tell you are wearing the invisalign aligners. Even in person, they’re almost impossible to see!

Cleaning your invisalign aligners is not a difficult challenge. Cleaning kits for your invisalign aligners will keep your invisalign aligners looking invisible. Many times the invisalign aligners will get foggy after bgeing worn for a long time and not being cleaned. Cleaning kits are recommended, however if you brush your teeth regularly you will not have a problem with fog or film on the invisalign aligners. Remember aligners can be removed to brush your teeth. You should also use a mouth wash like Listerine to fight plaque.

Invisalign.com has a product that is designed for cleaning your invisible braces, however the price is $75 for 50 cleaning crystals and a plastic tub. You should not use denture cleansers as an alternative because some can cause clouding.

Other recommended methods to clean invisalign aligners include:

Dawn Dishwasher Soap

Vinegar Soak

Retainer Brite Tabs

Hydrogen Peroxide Soak (50% water / 50% hydogen peroxide)

Listerine Whitening Pre-Brush Rinse

Although Invisalign offers many different advantages, it is also a good idea to consider any Invisalign cons when making such a decision. Some won’t be too affected by these cons, but others may and may need to find a way to work around these Invisalign cons. For others, the cons may make them consider a different method of teeth straightening.

One con that is associated with Invisalign is the cost. It is a little more pricey than traditional braces, but of course, you get what you pay for. With better appearance, convenience and results, comes a more costly product. Another Invisalign con is the fact that not everybody is qualified for it. Of course, this is something you will find out when you have a consultation with your Invisalign dentist. Something that can be considered as a con of Invisalign is the fact that the aligners need to be removed before eating and some people find this to be embarrassing. On the contrary, however, you can still eat any food you wish. With conventional braces, you don’t need to remove them, but you can’t - and therefore, you can’t eat some of your favorite foods during treatment. This can mean a couple years without having your favorite snack. Finally, one Invisalign con is that some people find trouble getting used to the aligners and speaking with them - but this usually only takes some time getting used to. <!--

Tons of people have had crowns done at one point, and many of them are concerned about whether or not this will affect if they qualify for Invisalign. Good news! In most cases, crowns will not affect the use of Invisalign.

Keep in mind, however, small composites called “attachments” are sometimes bonded onto teeth to help achieve certain movements. In these situations, the location of crowns must be carefully evaluated by your Invisalign dentist. Your Invisalign dentist can tell you for sure if crowns will greatly impact your treatment and if you will need to seek an alternative treatment. <!--
